Position Summary


The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications and systems software. Primarily focus on new development and design work of a web application and to build new interfaces among internal systems as well as with external business partners. Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Involved in all phases of the full systems life cycle.


Responsibilities


  • Independently develop code, test, debug, maintain, modify, and install complex software programs.
  • Apply structured programming techniques and adhere to coding standards and comply with the organization’s architectural standards.
  • Work closely with business partners to identify current operating procedures and to clarify requirements.
  • Develop and support order entry and manufacturing system applications based on defined business requirements.
  • New development and design work of a web application to build new interfaces among internal systems as well as with external business partners.
  • Provide support for production systems, including troubleshooting and fixes, and architect solutions.
  • Research and resolve programming issues with immediate, short-term solutions.
  • Develop program specifications and flowcharts, (dataflows, jobflows, etc.), for stand-alone programs or systems. Prepare concise internal program documentation on program development and revisions.
  • Develop unit test and test scripts. Perform unit, regression, conversion and parallel tests. Analyze and document test results to ensure that programs are meeting the technical requirements.
  • Prepare time estimates for assigned tasks and attend post-implementation reviews.
  • Participate in Agile methodology for software lifecycle.
  • Work with onshore and offshore teammates.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Strong technical background and experience working with .Net Framework, C# in Visual Studio, SQL databases, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports Developer (2016) is a preferred.
  • Must have good knowledge and understanding of the technology and make recommendations for improvements to the platform.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the information technology environment/infrastructure and be able to identify and resolve complex challenges associated with the work.
  • Must be able to effectively analyze and solve the more difficult and complex work related problems by using past experience, research, and best practice information.
  • Able to interpret moderately complex business specifications and make suggestions that provide workable solutions to development projects.
  • Requires excellent communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand. Able to explain programs policies and procedures in language that is understood by others.
  • Must be able to write with the clarity and precision necessary for the work being performed.
  • Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations.
