Job Summary: Blavity Inc. is looking for an Associate, AfroTech Client Services to manage partnerships for the AfroTech brand from concept through execution. The role is a full-time position responsible for all elements of the campaign lifecycle, and manages overall client satisfaction and engagement with our AfroTech products; including digital events, in-person events, and media campaigns.

This role will report directly to the Manager, AfroTech Client Services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct day-to-day operations for AfroTech’s Client Services (CS) team in managing sponsorships for digital events, in-person events, and cross-platform media campaigns
  • Lead and support client campaigns with a detail-oriented project management approach, to keep deliverables and timelines on track; including supporting clients from launch through execution
  • Manage end-to-end planning, execution, and daily communication for a portfolio of assigned AfroTech clients
  • Establish and lead internal and external communications and workflows to ensure effective collaboration and accurate exchange of information
  • Assist the Manager, AfroTech CS in translating SOWs and kick-off notes into detailed timelines that forecast dependencies, assets, and resource needs
  • Lead and contributes to client calls and meetings; sufficiently preparing beforehand, and ensuring next steps are captured and communicated
  • Manage the creation and sponsor approval of sponsor assets and branding
  • Monitor campaign performance against customer KPIs to ensure goals are met, recommending opportunities for campaign optimization
  • Provide weekly updates to the Manager, AfroTech CS; identifying milestones and elevating risks/challenges that may impact campaign delivery
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams within the AfroTech ecosystem; including Ad Ops, Editorial, Conference Operations, and Video Production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve campaign execution processes as AfroTech continues to scale and grow

Qualifications

  • Education: BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Required Experience: 3+ years experience in brand strategy, client campaigns, and/or client portfolio management at a media agency, publisher, or events company
  • Preferred Experience: 1+ year of experience in meetings, events, enterprise level client/sponsor management
  • Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana, and/or comparable project management suite, social media
  • Competencies: client partnerships, client management, campaign/portfolio management, brand strategy, communications, project management, events (digital and/or in-person), people management, budget management, data analytics
  • Additional qualifications:
    • Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
    • High-energy, company-first, positive attitude; must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills; outgoing and sociable; willing to wear multiple hats
    • Naturally detail-oriented
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details: This is a fully remote role that may require occasional travel to our in-person events and conferences. Candidates must be available to work at least 50% in alignment with Pacific Time Zone.
