E-marketing and Engagement Manager 🔥


POSITION SUMMARY:

Do you like to combine creativity and organization? Do you like to write copy that sings and then use as many tools as possible to make sure as many people see it as possible? That’s the heartbeat of this job. You’re a creative type who identifies with our mission, familiar with working in databases, automation and donor journeys. We’re a growing nonprofit that values its people, and communication and fundraising as disciplines. We need an e-marketing and engagement manager who will help us to recruit new donors and help them to see all the ways they make our work possible.  

 

RESPOSIBILITIES:  

Donor engagement...

  • Be the primary owner of donor communications, helping to create and curate content that puts the donor at the center of our work. 
  • Develop and implement donor journeys that invite deeper connection with L’Arche 
  • Curate and maximize existing communication efforts to ensure donors and other stakeholders are aware of and even see themselves in our mission. These include e-newsletters, special appeals, incentivized donor journeys and more. 
  • Together with the team, develop and maintain a calendar for engagement with stakeholders. 
  • Leverage existing investments in Salesforce, MailChimp and Hootsuite to create an integrated approach to engagement  
  • Abide best practices to ensure messaging reaches beyond tabbed in boxes and social media scrolling  

 

Social media management...

  • With colleagues, develop and implement social media strategy and a calendar for posting 
  • Monitor social media interaction, fielding requests for information, answering questions and more 
  • Collaborate with L’Arche communities to foster momentum in social media engagement 
  • Convene community social media managers to bolster a community of practice that regularly connects, learns and grows L’Arche’s footprint in the social media landscape 

 

Marketing... 

  • Collaborate on e-marketing efforts from vision to execution 
  • Manage advertising engagements with an eye for adjustments based on regular metrics 
  • Collaborate to shape and execute message testing, and regular adjustments in tactics based on informative data 
  • Provide reporting and data that reveal insights on audience expansion and opportunities for growth 
  • Market opportunities to stakeholders for interaction and connection with L’Arche and its member communities 

 

Team...

  • Serve on a team where “not my job” is an exception to the rule 
  • Collaborate with creative, passionate individuals who see a better world for people living with disabilities 
  • Mentor and learn from people living with intellectual disability so they might share their stories authentically in our channels 
  • Occasional travel to team meetings and community visits 
  • Familiarity with a federated organizational structure and collaborating across communities, local boards and staffs a plus 

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated experience in the required responsibilities 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of best practice in donor communication and engagement 
  • Experience with Salesforce and Mailchimp automation required 
  • Portfolio of creative work that demonstrates effective donor engagement and growth 
  • A sense of humor, a willingness to teach and to learn, and a passion for shaping a better world 

 

Reports to: Director, Communications and Development  

Compensation: Dependent on skills and experience
