Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls and building and managing a strong financial team for a growing network of businesses. Additionally, the Accounting Manager establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information to the company executives.

Reporting Requirements

The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, or the President/Chief Operations Officer in their absence.

Skills and Additional Requirements
The Accounting Manager must be proficient in the use of computers and software utilized throughout the Company. They must be intimately familiar with the use of Quickbooks. 5+ years Accounting Manager experience is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is also required, Master’s Degree is preferred.

This position requires strong administrative, communication and problem-solving skills. The Accounting Manager also needs to be extremely detail oriented, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality in handling the company’s financial and human resource matters. They must be exceedingly well organized and able to work independently with little or no supervision and display outstanding management skills.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Accounting Policies and Procedures.
  • Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies, ensuring financial security is maintained.
  • Ensure finance Standard Operating Procedures are continuously kept up to date.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are clearly communicated and enforced with all employees.
  • Monitor Cash Flow and ensure availability of funds and credit at all times
  • Daily Sync of Quickbooks and ensure accurate categorization
  • Make bi-weekly credit card payments for all credit cards
  • Manage monthly recurring transfers to fund clinic budgets, tax savings, etc.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable
  • Ensure Franchise Fee Loan Payments are being received and transactions are split interest and principle according to associated amortization schedules.
  • Manage Shared expenses between departments and affiliate companies.
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable Report on a Monthly basis prior to month end close out
  • Manage Accounts Payable
  • Ensure Bills are entered in a timely manner
  • Create and implement debt reduction strategies
  • Ensure timely bill payment
  • Manage guaranteed payments
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable Report on a Monthly basis prior to month end close out
  • Provide oversight to the Management of Departmental Budgets
  • Ensure Department Directors are trained on the management of their budget and abiding by established policies
  • Provide Directors with appropriate weekly and monthly reports to effectively manage their cash flow.
  • Ensure Accurate Month/Quarter and Year End Close Out
  • Audit weekly and monthly collections of all fees from Franchisees managed by Support Department (Royalty, Marketing, Technology, Bookkeeping, Ad Spend, etc)
  • Reconcile all Bank Accounts and Credit Cards
  • Ensure accurate split of any liability payments based on amortization schedules
  • Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports are generated, reviewed and presented to the CFO and executive team.
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating the year-end close process with internal and external auditors.
  • Year End Journal entries
  • Depreciation Schedules
  • Any delegation to support the accounting needs of the Chief Financial Officer in the management of the companies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
