The Role

The junior content editor position is an entry-level position. This position will be responsible for writing and editing content for online courses. Junior content editors write instructional content, draft video scripts, and conceptualize games, exercises, and activities that assist students in mastering content. This position will also be responsible for writing and building immersive narratives and real-world scenarios to promote learning. The junior content editor will report to MindEdge’s managing editor.

Responsibilities

  • Edit content for accuracy, clarity, and quality
  • Participate in QA tasks
  • Copyedit and proofread content
  • Write content including instructional content, assessment questions, and video scripts
  • Assist senior editors in developing course content
  • Meet course completion deadlines
  • Participate in professional development and team trainings
  • Place content using HTML and XML templates
  • Other tasks, as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An eye for detail and ability to follow complex instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and edit for grammar rules
  • Ability to work in a team setting
