About the Role: CrowdStrike is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our growing Production Services team. As a software engineer, you will be focused on the creation of tools to enhance the automations that deploy and manage CrowdStrike’s cloud-based infrastructure. The candidate will play a key role in architecting and implementing a stable yet flexible production environment.   • Be an energetic self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables, both individually and as part of a team
  • Collaboratively brainstorm, define, and build software solutions
  • Work with internal business partners to analyze requirements and craft elegant, robust, and reliable solutions to solve complex technical problems
  • Raise the technical IQ of the team by being passionate about learning and sharing the newest technologies & tricks with others
  • Represent the systems team as a technical leader
  • Report regularly on the status of critical projects
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a large-scale production environment and developing applications with cross-functional teams
  • Experience writing scripts/applications for automation, tools, dashboards, and alarms with Python and/or the Go programming language
  • Understanding of common network management protocols and APIs such as SNMP, RCMP+, or RedFish
  • Experience developing and integrating APIs using REST, GraphQL, or SOAP
  • Experience designing schemas and optimizing SQL queries for RDBMS such as MySQL or Postgres
  • Experience developing customer-facing applications or APIs
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning new systems and methodologies
  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to make good, timely decisions.
  • Familiar with developing automated unit/acceptance tests
  • Strong focus on security when developing or reviewing code or systems
  • Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups as part of a worldwide team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Twelve-Factor App methodology
  • Experience writing scripts/applications for for automation, tools, dashboards, and alarms with languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, and/or JavaScript
  • Experience designing authentication or authorization systems
  • Experience implementing tracing and metrics within systems using OpenTracing and Prometheus
  • Experience working with large-scale bare-metal hardware
  • Understanding of container systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Bamboo
