Remote Communications Writer 🔥


JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of the Global CX communication team, you will help build and complete an integrated internal communications strategy to advise, engage and align our employees and leaders across the CX organization. This role requires a mixture of coordination, program management, content creation and planning.

You will:
  • Drive alignment across the Global CX organization around our team’s vision, strategy and priorities to implement key operations imperatives and drive the CX business forward. This can include organizational communications, events such as All-Hands and leadership meetings or internal digital channels such as Communities, SharePoint and Team spaces
  • Empower employee engagement and increase job happiness to cultivate a positive, inclusive and collaborative community and environment that attracts and improves talent, fosters innovation, and encourages excellence
  • Synthesize business initiatives, company performance, technology and innovation strategies for internal audiences to easily digest and feel inspired
  • Some of the responsibilities include:
  • Develop and maintain team spaces or websites as a resource to the organization as well as employee programs that drive engagement and alignment
  • Coordinate internal team events and activities
  • Write talking points for internal communications or events
  • Write and edit articles, emails, presentations
  • Develop content for internal and external videos
  • Produce clear, concise communications that make sophisticated topics understandable
  • Project manage internal and strategic plans and initiatives, from beginning to end as well as the employee activity calendar
  • Collaborate with other members in communications, organizational change and leadership to build content that supports the organizations and company’s strategic priorities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
  • 8 years of experience in communications role in enterprise level environment with INTERNAL executive communications
  • Writing and editing for accuracy, grammar, and conciseness

  • 8+ years of experience in a communications role
  • Demonstrable ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize with agility and speed and solid project management skills with the ability to balance concurrent projects
  • Experience project managing, coordinating, and implementing complex communications plans
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Understand Cisco’s story, its technologies, services & solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication, translating complexity into easy words and pictures
  • Good social skills: intuitive ability to read people, influence where appropriate and complete when vital
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience with

Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
