Marketing Associate, Retention Operations

Your role at Sephora... As our Marketing Associate, Retention Operations, you will be you will be responsible for helping to produce and execute Sephora’s extensive, dynamic, and high-performing email and mobile messaging marketing campaigns. You will play a key role in providing critical technical expertise and execution skills to facilitate email and mobile marketing campaigns. He/she/they will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, Retention Operations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Support and execute broadcast email and mobile messaging campaigns and initiatives.
  • Responsible for proofing, testing and QA of email campaigns to ensure accurate and error-free execution of links, content and targeted assets across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Responsible for delivering on the best client experience and wearing your client centric hat.
  • Partner with internal production, project management, developers to ensure accurate creation and delivery of email and mobile messaging campaigns.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other teams: Product Marketing, Promotional Marketing, Loyalty Marketing, CRM Team, Production, Creative, and Web Development.
  • Support Retention Marketing team in special projects and initiatives.

We would love to hear from you if you meet the following:

  • 2+ years’ experience in production e-commerce with a focus on email and mobile digital marketing
  • Familiarity with email or mobile messaging deployment platforms (such as Epsilon, Braze, Airship, Salesforce, Bluecore, MailChimp or others)
  • Hands-on experience working with different CMS and building campaigns
  • Knowledge and experience with HTML coding and content management tools
  • Understanding of email and mobile messaging campaign segmentation and analytics
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy
  • High sense of urgency and ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects, people, and initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to collaborate across all teams
  • Excellent written, grammatical, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
