Senior Project Manager, Content & Creative Studio 🔥

The Content & Creative Studio team, a part of M&M, consists of award-winning creative specialists and idea partners, developing powerful communications and experiences to engage audiences and ultimately to deliver on External Relations ambitions and objectives. Using creative mediums such as visual design, video, stunts, campaigns and storytelling, the M&M team taps into the expertise and talents of colleagues across the organization.

Job Overview:

This exciting role will serve as a key focal point across the Content and Creative Studio, M&M and Fundraising teams. The Senior Project Manager will work across the global External Relations organization to ensure that processes are in place to plan meaningful campaigns and meet the department’s annual goals. The ideal candidate will possess significant project management expertise and deep emergency appeal and campaign knowledge to support the development and implementation of fundraising and donor engagement strategies.

Major Responsibilities:

Campaign & Creative Development Project Management:

  • Lead the management of creative assets, signature campaigns, and project requests from partners across External Relations and beyond to ensure efficient management of the creative development process and strong alignment with audience engagement plans.
  • Assure the successful achievement of high-visibility, high-impact projects through managing the timely completion of objectives and coordinating the activities of colleagues in global Fundraising, Communications, Advocacy, Strategy and IT.
  • Create and maintain project implementation plans, risk mitigation plans, design documents, project budget, status reports, and all other project management-related documentation in a timely manner.
  • Proactively manage and solve project risks, dependencies, issues, gaps and resource distribution issues.
  •  Engage and facilitate meetings with External Relations collaborators to ensure strong global alignment and efficient project management on campaigns.
  •  Ensure all requests accurately go through the existing creative workflow, project management tools and relevant partners are involved.
  • Work with creative leads and project team to complete requests on time and within budget.
  • Participate in defining the roadmap of the initiative in the short and long-term, including the mechanisms for monitoring the success of our work and soliciting feedback from end users.

Emergency Appeal Project Management:

·         Serve as focal point for content, creative and digital project management for key emergency appeals.

·         Support coordination of strong and streamlined emergency response capabilities to drive revenue, profile, and influence. Support the Fundraising, Communications, and Advocacy teams in delivering high-impact emergency appeals.

·         Build, update, and maintain clear processes & efficient ways of leading emergency appeals across External Relations.

·         Support emergency appeal trainings and ad hoc Emergency Action Group onboardings, and help to update and maintain emergency appeal processes and emergency appeals toolkit

Process & Business Development:

  • In partnership with the Associate Director of Planning & Operations, continuously improve an optimized campaign process to better align with needs and changing market demands, and to build an enhanced campaign strategy.
  • Collaborate with External Relations partners to create business solutions that help improve campaign planning and project design as needed.
  • ​Develop and maintain tools to support campaign needs such as, Rescue Net resource pages, box folders, meeting scheduling & updating Workfront.
  • Work with Planning & Operations team to ensure key processes are updated and maintained and support on any necessary trainings.

Key Working Relationships:

You will report to: Associate Director, Planning and Operations in the Content & Creative Team

Job Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of professional experience, including 5 years of project management and coordination of successful fundraising strategies and initiatives, or equivalent.
  • Experience designing standardized reports to track key campaign metrics.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, coordination and time-management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with many partners in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think creatively to develop engagement strategies with maximum impact.
  • Strong command of Microsoft suite, including MS Project.
  • Premier oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work successfully and deliver results - independently and interdependently.
