Who We Are

Dodge Construction Network exists to enable the diverse connections that commercial construction needs to build thriving communities.  Every day, we set out to simplify the complicated, enabling commercial construction players to grow.

How this Role Makes a Difference

Reporting to the Chief People & Organization Officer, this role will be responsible for standing up and leading the People Operations CoE for Dodge Construction Network, serving 700 teammates and business leaders across North America.  In this role you will focus on building a culture of continuous improvement ensuring optimal, efficient, and consistent team member experience and delivering operational excellence and simplification across our people operations services. You will lead payroll, benefit administration, compensation management, HRIS data management, HR compliance activities, HRIS optimization including buildout and optimization of Employee and Manager self-service functionality, and workspace management (Return to Office strategy) for team members and locations in the US and Canada.  You will initially lead a team of 3 direct reports. This is an opportunity to join a mid-market, growth-oriented company and help design, build, and lead the company's People & Organization function.  We are building a team of HR professionals who are strategic partners with the business and thrive in our culture: team-oriented, diverse, innovative, customer inspired, results driven, disciplined, passionate, and adaptable.

Some examples of what you will have accountability for in this role include:

  • Drive the People Operations strategy and initiatives. Improve and streamline CoE organizational activities. Re-think how we provide services using technology, vendors, and innovation
  • Optimize the HRIS to leverage workflow automation including a robust array of team member and manager self-service capability
  • Continually improve upon ways team members can reach us to feel we are accessible and inclusive (contact optimization, case management, knowledge chatbots, etc) creating a positive team member and leader experience
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve team member moments that matter, lifecycle operations, automation, and standardization
  • Build a strong working relationship with HR partners and business leadership. Develop and implement communications strategy with HR partners to gain alignment on cross-functional projects and increase customer service satisfaction
  • Develop a metrics-driven team.  Be accountable for the day-to-day performance metrics, ensuring clear SLA's and KPI's align to effective and positive team member experience. Utilize metrics to demonstrate and communicate People Operations value.  Create and share reports, metrics and dashboards that are meaningful to stakeholders
  • Ensure the execution of consistent and legally sound processes
  • Partner with other People & Organization functions to ensure alignment and integration of people and business strategies
  • Continuously review and evaluate internal operating processes, systems and procedures for effectiveness, efficiency, and responsiveness to customer requirements
  • Participate in M&A due diligence; lead integration of people operations activities as a result of acquisitions
  • Continue to drive, strengthen, and scale efficiencies, with a focus on risk mitigation and enhanced controls of core operational processes
  • Collaborate with other shared services functions to ensure seamless delivery of employee services (IT, Security, Finance, etc).
  • Coach team and individuals on performance and professional development issues. Motivate team members to achieve efficiency and productivity.  Conduct performance appraisals, interviews, and discipline/documentation, as needed.
  • Collaborate with peers and the business to foster an atmosphere that celebrates collaboration, innovation, inclusivity, and teamwork.
