HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME



(Bonus points if you also have a little bit of an online shopping problem)

  •  Hooking your reader with a benefit-driven copy for amazon listings and Shopify pages;
  •  Writing with the client’s vision, brand messaging, tone of voice; and target audience in mind;
  •  Diving deep into how the target audience thinks, feels, and acts, and translate that into your writing –to the point where the reader goes, “wait. That’s me. That’s how I feel. I need that product!”;
  •  Being best buddies with the team designer and plan concepts together by studying the kick-off brief and doing your extensive research;
  •  Having a willingness to adapt. You know that the client, the brand, and the product won’t adjust for you;
  •  Finding the right keywords that sell and naturally add them into your copy;
  •  Gathering all the information you need even before opening google docs;
  •  Preparing presentations and other documents to move a project forward and improve the team’s sops;
  •  Taking criticism positively because you know well that not everyone will be a fan of your copywriting and that the client may have a different vision in mind;
  •  Confidently presenting your ideas and work to the team and the client because you are an expert in copywriting;
  •  Making time for training. Every day is a chance to learn or revisit something;



THE PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION



  • You must sell with your words. Every copy you write has a purpose. And ultimately, it should result in $$$;
  • You have a creative eye. You’ll be writing for images, and you need to have some understanding of style and design;
  • You wow, us with your expansive portfolio featuring all your copywriting works;
  • You are careful but a flexible writer. You take grammar, language, syntax, and style seriously. But you also know that sometimes, the message is more important than how the message was written;
  • You stay consistent, whether it’s in using the brand’s tone of voice or how you work in general;
  • You are always up for the challenge and ready to solve problems. We don’t expect you to save us all, but your willingness to help will make a difference;
  • You practice patience. Not every project will be smooth-sailing, and the best ideas don’t come quickly. It takes a lot of collaboration between the team and the client. But you know that the outcome is more important than going back to the drawing board multiple times. That’s also why we need you to;
  • You prioritize results. At the end of the day, your copy serves a purpose. It should hook the target customer, keep them reading, and eventually lead them to click that buy now button.
