Solutions Architect


We’re in search of an experienced Solution Architect to act as bridge between our Sales, Solutions Engineering and Professional Services teams. Your main objective will be to position and present technical solutions and services to ClickUp prospects/customers based on their business challenges. You'll be responsible for gathering functional and technical requirements, presenting a proposed solution, preparing a quote and then working with the prospect/customer to sign a services contract. Once the contract has been signed, you'll perform a knowledge transfer to the Professional Services Team.

Given we're in hyper growth mode we’re looking for someone who is a little scrappy, knows how to hustle, and is prepared to get their hands dirty. Great data hygiene, attention to detail and time management will be three of your greatest strengths, as you'll be supporting multiple Account Executives across the AMS region while working with a number of prospects/customers concurrently, each at a different stage in the sales cycle - life moves fast in this role, and you'll need to have the stamina to keep up!

The Role:

  • Manage a portfolio of opportunities across the AMS region that have Professional Services attached, in consultation with the assigned Account Executive.
  • Manage each individual opportunities health by ensuring that key fields within our CRM are kept up to date, and both prospects/customers and internal stakeholders clearly understand next steps.
  • Work with prospects/customers to gather functional and technical requirements, then map those requirements to a ClickUp solution. Work with ClickUp's Technical Product Consulting team to scope integrations, where appropriate.
  • Position and present the proposed solution to the prospect/customer, prepare a quote and a services contract for the prospect/customer to review.
  • Work with the Account Executive and prospect/customer to ensure the services contract is signed, handling objections and negotiating sticking points on behalf of services were appropriate.
  • Partner with the Sales, Solution Engineering, Success, Support and Product teams to understand prospect/customer use cases, transfer knowledge and provide real time feedback on feature requests and limitations.
  • Partner with our partner network to transfer knowledge and provide advice, guidance and training where required.
  • Own and maintain a services forecast pipeline, and work to drive Professional Services sales metrics.
  • Build strong relationships with our prospects/customers to ensure we're constantly delivering value.
  • Contribute to the definition, development and improvement of both regional and global operational processes.
  • Prioritize the prospect/customer experience, lead by example, and monitor adherence to professional services policies and procedures.
  • Up-sell and cross-sell our products and services.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to less experienced team members.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience selling consulting services, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Additional 2+ years of solution architecture experience, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience working within a professional services organization.
  • Experience creating professional services contracts (Quotes, SOWs, Change Orders).
  • Experience working within a professional services partner eco-system.
  • Experience working with prospects/customers across the AMS region.
  • Experience building technical integrations via API, middleware, or PaaS tools.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud and SaaS solutions.
  • Familiar with agile and waterfall implementation methodologies.
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of how to elicit and document user requirements.
  • Proven ability to clearly articulate technical topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally, both physically and virtually.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
  • Have a positive attitude, high energy and a GTD mindset.
  • Some travel may be required based on client needs.

Bonuses:

  • Experience in SaaS, PPM software, or collaborative work management (CWM) tools such as Monday, Asana, Wrike, Planview, Changepoint, CA, Mavenlink, Workfront, etc.
  • Experience with relevant enterprise solutions such as JIRA, ServiceNow, SFDC, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Netsuite, etc.
  • Experience in a Big 4 consulting firm, or equivalent enterprise software Professional Services organisation, deploying software across multiple organizations and use cases.
  • Qualifications in PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, Kanban, Agile, etc.
