Lead, Communications - Sustainability
Position Summary
As Under Armour ramps up our sustainability efforts and with the upcoming launch of our inaugural Sustainability Report, we will need to begin a more proactive approach to communications and storytelling related to sustainability. As this becomes a critical business priority, we need to bring in sustainability comms expertise to help drive our narrative and mitigate risks. The role will be responsible for developing and executing our sustainability communications strategy, working with cross-functional partners (such as sustainability, product, innovation, supply chain etc) to storymine for opportunities and drive internal awareness of our sustainability work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a proactive sustainability storytelling strategy to communicate both internally and externally about our sustainability strategy, goals and first ever sustainability report.
- Post report launch, identify and evaluate opportunities to tell our story proactively through media relations, speaking opportunities and social media
- Work with the internal comms team to map out opportunities to report on progress (at key global meetings, through the Green Machine TRG etc.) on a regular cadence throughout the year
- Mitigate risk by providing strategic communications recommendations for reactive opportunities
- Ensure alignment with IR, legal and compliance teams to ensure accurate reporting of sustainability projects and progress, as part of our duties as a public company

- At least a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in communications, sustainability, marketing
- 6-8 years working in communications, marketing and/or sustainability
- Return To Work Designation: FULLY REMOTE
- ravel: 5-10%
