Insightly CRM is looking for a Tier 1 - Billing support and collections specialist (Remote) to join our fast-growing CRM company. You will report to the Sr. Customer Care Manager and work alongside a team of Customer Care & Success professionals. The Customer Care team is a critical part of the Customer Loyalty organization, whose mission is delivering predictable outcomes of success for our customers across every stage of their journey (land, onboard, adopt, expand, renew, and advocate.) You will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class multi-channel customer support experience that ensures the continued adoption of Insightly’s products across all user groups in customer accounts. Our ideal candidate loves interacting with and solving problems for customers as much as they love continuing to learn about technology.



As a billing support and collections specialist, you will collaborate with business partners to ensure that the collections process functions smoothly and efficiently across all user groups, transaction types, user groups, and payment methods in an account. This role will be instrumental in the collections of outstanding accounts receivable and all other aspects of collections. You will be responsible for resolving customer billing issues, reducing accounts receivable delinquency, and partnering with sales operations and finance to continually improve our order to cash processes.



Essential Job Functions (or “Job Duties”)

  • Available to work morning shift starting at 7am EST
  • Strong communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening
  • Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience, and empathy
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills to investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments
  • Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional prioritization, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Payment Collections - Informing customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines, set mutual expectations around remittance, and work with customer account teams to minimize account disruptions but ensure compliance to contracted payment terms

Job Requirements

  • Experience with customer ticketing systems such as Zendesk
  • Experience with using Recurly and Stripe or similar billing software
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with mid-market and enterprise customers to resolve payment issues and accelerate collections
  • Experience with consumption-based price models
  • Basic financial, bookkeeping, and accounting skills
  • Effective computer skills to input to use bookkeeping and account management software in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to use resources to locate a point of contact at businesses when one is not provided
  • Contract Review - Knowledge of industry best practices for collections and renewals

Nice but not Needed
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel features such as pivot tables & vlookups
  • Experience with international billing requests and requirements

The pay range for this role in Colorado is $26.00 to $28.00 per hour and final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise. For all other locations, the salary range may vary by geographic market and will be determined through the selection and assessment process for this role relative to your experience and our job qualifications.
