📈 Opportunity Size

The ecommerce experience has been static for 20+ years and is one of the largest opportunities for disruption in the startup space today. Livestream shopping is a $170B GMV market in China and has grown 100% YoY. Retail is a $5T market opportunity!

💻 Role

  • Develop communications and go to market strategies for product features and releases.
  • Work cross collaboratively with the product, marketing and category teams to develop compelling narratives and campaigns to communicate and explain the product.
  • Identify product communication opportunities through customer interviews and quantitative analysis
  • Serve as a key thought partner with the product team to help prioritize the product road map based on customer insights and feedback.
  • Manage the communication and rollout process for early product access to select users
  • Using competitive analysis and customer segmentation, determine appropriate positioning for feature rollout
  • Work with the paid marketing team to determine the appropriate channel mix for product marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing counterparts to develop effective onboarding marketing strategies for sellers and buyers on the platform

As our next Product Marketing Manager you should have 5+ years in Product Marketing Management preferably at a consumer technology company, plus:

  • A consistent track record of creating product adoption through effective marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Strong product sense with the ability to understand and synthesize the voice of the customer
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • You have been a top performer wherever you have worked.
  • Comfort working exceptionally fast in an ambiguous work environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working on a marketplace or a two-sided platform.
  • Passion for creator communities, existing product categories on Whatnot, and/or new verticals that are uniquely suited for live e-commerce.
  • Experience buying and selling in online marketplaces communities.
