Founded in 2013, Hack the Hood (HtH) is a non-profit organization based in Oakland, California with a mission to train early career youth and communities of color through tech skill-building programs grounded in justice and career navigation support that ensures economic mobility. We hold the value of racial justice deeply and ensure every decision we make holds equity at the center. We believe that our work has generational impact, that data is power and there ain’t no tech without us! We approach every learning experience with a justice- centered approach and provide socio-political content across our programs.
