Founding Product Designer


What you will be doing

  • As the first product designer, you’ll lay the foundation for a successful product design function within Coleap — from processes and tooling to guidelines and our design system
  • Take responsibility for how users experience our product with all its touch points and ensure it’s up to the high standard we set for ourselves
  • Engage in deep user research with course creators, learners and our operations team to ensure that we build a product that caters to their needs
  • Work in close collaboration with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to come up with solutions that delight our users

Who we are looking for

  • You have 5+ years of experience across various facets of design – ideally in an early-stage startup environment
  • You have a demonstrated mastery of UI/UX, prototyping, visual design, typography, and layout & visual hierarchy
  • You have empathy and a deep understanding for users and their journey.
  • You commit to deeply getting to know the people who use your products and enjoy creating a delightful experience for them
  • You know how to design for engaging consumer experiences: Experience in education, gaming, dating or social networks would be a big plus
  • You find the right balance between iterating rapidly on prototypes/wireframes and focusing on details and quality when it matters.
  • You document and articulate your design decisions for the team to understand, give feedback on and implement them efficiently
