Program Coordinator – National Security Language Initiative For Youth Program 🔥


The NSLI-Y program coordinator will play a key role in supporting iEARN-USA’s implementation of the National Security and Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program. The program coordinator will work on student outreach and support, program implementation, event planning, website and social media management, and program communications. The coordinator will communicate regularly with iEARN partner offices around the world including: India, Korea, Morocco, and Taiwan to ensure the delivery of program activities. The coordinator is expected to work some nights or weekends for program-related duties and events. The coordinator is expected to travel domestically to event locations. International travel may be required. This is a temporary position beginning February 7, 2022 through approximately August 31, 2022.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with program managers and country offices to coordinate program activities, including program outreach; liaise with international partner offices for participant support issues; and assist manager with general program implementation; 
  • Assist with student support cases and provide high-touch support to NSLI-Y participants and parents; 
  • Share responsibility with grants program team to be on-call, 24/7, to respond to program emergency phone;
  • Regularly update and maintain websites and social media platforms and complete website and social media analytics reports;
  • Develop and implement pre-departure communications, materials, and orientations for students entering the NSLI-Y program;
  • Develop and edit written communications materials for program reports, newsletters, program handbooks, and program highlights;
  • Organize event and program logistics including participant travel (ticketing, visas, passports, etc.), student materials, meeting locations, food, etc.;
  • Develop and plan virtual events;
  • Perform any related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor;
  • Must be willing to work some nights or weekends for student support cases and event coordination and travel if needed.

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally, if necessary.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience working with high school youth, particularly in managing youth support cases;
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in the use of Google Suite, Salesforce, and social media management tools;
  • Experience with event planning and/or logistics management, a plus.

The candidate must be able to work legally in the United States. This position is unable to sponsor a work visa.
