Job description The Project Manager will be a temporary position within the marketing and communications department at the High Line helping to organize work and keep projects on deadline and moving forward.
They will help kick off work, determine schedules, and play a key role in internal communications regarding the status of projects, approvals, and deadlines.
Responsibilities - Work across departments to define project briefs, including key messages, audience, and identify approvals and delivery dates - Support the communications team in managing and driving all project schedules, creating internal meeting agendas, and updating project statuses - Act as the first point-of-contact for new requests, organize kick-off meetings, and check-ins - Assist the Digital Communications Manager by organizing content for web updates and ensuring consistency between printed materials and digital platforms.

Job description

The Project Manager will be a temporary position within the marketing and communications department at the High Line helping to organize work and keep projects on deadline and moving forward. This person will be a champion of process and help guide other teams through the steps to create printed and digital materials. They will help kick off work, determine schedules, and play a key role in internal communications regarding the status of projects, approvals, and deadlines.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications and works very closely with the Design Communications manager and the Junior Graphic Designer, along with freelance photographers and copyeditors.

This will be a full time temporary role working EST hours, Monday through Friday. This exempt position is expected to start immediately and go through on or around April 15, 2021. Remote candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Work across departments to define project briefs, including key messages, audience, and identify approvals and delivery dates
  • Support the communications team in managing and driving all project schedules, creating internal meeting agendas, and updating project statuses
  • Act as the first point-of-contact for new requests, organize kick-off meetings, and check-ins
  • Assist the Digital Communications Manager by organizing content for web updates and ensuring consistency between printed materials and digital platforms.
  • Work efficiently and effectively with external copyediting, design, photography, videography, media, and marketing consultants. Including processing invoices and contacts.
  • Organize assets, including partner brand assets, photos, video files
  • Manage timelines and calendars for the work of the department through Asana
  • Manage in-house graphic design projects including but not limited to: coordinating with the department requesting the work, setting the schedule / calendar, and assigning the work

Requirements

Requirements:

  • At least 2-4 years of digital and print project management experience
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • A keen sense of the creative process and digital and print production
  • Experience developing and managing schedules, working with vendors, and being an internal champion of process
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing processes
  • Experience managing multiple assignments in short timeframes while delivering high-quality results

Preferred:

  • In-depth knowledge Asana, project management software
  • Comfortable working with Google Workspace including managing document permissions, comments, and revisions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Wordpress, and other marketing tools
