REMOTE Part-Time Freelance Social Media Specialist
Location: Greater Philadelphia Area | This position is remote but preference is for availability to attend once-monthly in-person meetings in Philadelphia.
Overview: Founded in 2011 by internationally renowned business leader and New York Times bestselling author, Doug Conant, ConantLeadership is a mission-driven community of leaders and learners who are championing leadership that works in the 21st century. We are seeking a collaborative, committed, and congenial freelance contract (1099) employee who will implement and monitor social media at the post level in support of ConantLeadership’s social media marketing initiatives. The right candidate is a digital native who is highly professional and has a track record of success in social media management. In this role, you will have an opportunity to nurture and engage a pre-existing social media audience of over 300,000 that we have built over the past decade.
Hours: Flexible; position is approximately 10-15 hours/week.
Technical Knowledge: Facebook and Facebook analytics, Twitter and Twitter ads, Google Analytics, Demonstrable understanding of most current social media best practices, Familiarity with thought leaders in the business/leadership space
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience managing social media for either a company, brand, or a portfolio of clients. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Job Functions
· Assist Director of Content in the execution of social media campaigns
· Be available during live events to engage our community on social and take/post photos, screenshots, etc. in real-time
· Execute social media at the post level for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
· In partnership with Chief Administrative Officer (Diana Hansen) – assist in the creation of original visual assets for Instagram and other social channels in accordance with our brand guidelines, as needed
· Perform timely, engaging Community Management with brand-consistent “voice” across primary social channels of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
· Create bi-weekly “social snapshot” reports with a preview of the planned content mix for the following week for the Director of Content and CEO to review
· Measure ConantLeadership’s content platform monthly progress and track competitors in our master spreadsheet, updated once monthly
· Assist Director of Content in the preparation of Bi-Annual Social Media and Content Marketing Metrics Reports
· Recommend leadership recognition programs/awards that are appropriate to nominate our CEO for – and manage the submission of his candidacy and the associated social campaigns to earn him votes (i.e. Global Gurus, Thinkers 50, etc.)
