Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking an exceptional Staff Offensive Security Engineer to help find the biggest threats to Twilio’s security. The person in this role will conduct offensive engagements both externally outside the corporate network and internally within various enterprise environments with the goal of testing/validating security controls, identifying security gaps, and testing/validating blue team detection and response.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a professional who lives the Twilio Magic [1] and has a demonstrated track record working in offensive security teams with a focus on red teaming. They also have:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in cybersecurity
  • Applied experience in assessing cloud environments, specifically AWS
  • Extensive experience building custom tooling and automation
  • Understanding of distributed systems and micro services architecture 
  • Expertise in designing offensive engagements end-to-end including reporting
  • Ability to partner cross functionally and lead without authority
  • Good understanding of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and experience with 0-day research 
  • Docker & Kubernetes knowledge
  • OSCP or other similar certifications preferred

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro: $132,928 - $182,776

Rest of Colorado: $116,312 - $159,929

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
