- Research & Strategy – As an experience copywriter, you’ll partner with our Senior Brand Copywriter to determine the “Lower Way” of communicating to our different buyer personas the messages that most closely align with their motivators and overcome their blockers. You’ll clearly document these findings, study and compare to competitors, and iterate your ideas as you gain more clarity and insights.
- Advertising Copy – Create channel specific copy that stops the scroll and generates a click to our app store or web properties. With so much noise and competition, you’ve got to use your copy to surprise and delight. You’re building a funnel, and Advertising is often the first touch.
Creative: Facebook & Instagram Ads, Search Text Ads, Responsive Display Ads - Landing Page Copy – Create product specific copy for top, middle, and bottom of the funnel landing pages that drive potential leads to complete a contact request form, loan application, or inbound call using language that is fresh, informative, and full of personality. Get to the point clearly, be clever as you can, never confuse.
- Email Copy – Once a contact converts your copy will follow them through email marketing until they close on the loan. This multi-week to
- multi-month process needs you to keep the relationship warm while our Loan Officers are waiting for the customer to get all their ducks in a row. Your copy ensures the customer is educated, committed, and ignoring our competitors.
- Data Analysis & Reporting - Because you are performance driven, you know that marketing success is measured in outcomes meaningful to the business. You will use data and analytics to track your progress, determine duds (safe to fail), and report your findings with ideas to improve on a daily and weekly basis. You must be willing to face your copy in the wild, soberly and objectively analyze it, and kill your darlings when they aren’t working like you expected.
- Experience – You’re a mid-level marketer with at least 3-5 years or experience in copywriting with a proven and verifiable track record of achieving the measurable goals set by your prior clients or employer. It would be pretty fantastic if you came from the mortgage, lending, fintech, SaaS, or eCommerce
- Focused and Efficient – You are a champion of the clock, producing consistent results quickly. At Lower we move fast towards our goals, achieving more than what others thought possible.
- Knowledge – You have worked successfully in all the settings laid out in the job description with your strongest success in ads and landing pages. Since every placement is different, and channel requirements are varied, you need to know your way around each since your copy is often forced into lengths and limits set by our ad channels.
- Compliance – If you’ve never written for a regulated industry, such as financial services, where compliance and in-house legal departments can cramp your style, you might want to reconsider applying.
