As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be a critical member of the ShipHero Marketing Team as you will own the inbound marketing funnel for our company. You’ll be responsible for executing the digital marketing tactics of our marketing campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (aka Bing ads), Taboola, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You'll conduct experiments, build and track digital marketing program performance, and collaborate with the team to build our digital demand and lead generation strategy. You’ll leverage a very wide range of marketing channels and programs to drive MQLs and sales pipeline while collaborating closely with Product, Sales, and SDRs.

You will be in charge of attracting site traffic, converting that traffic into new leads for the business, and nurturing to close those leads into customers, while closely monitoring conversion rates and optimizing campaigns at each stage. This position requires an individual who is analytically minded, results and data-driven, well-versed in marketing technologies and best practices, moves quickly, and has a strong passion for continually testing and moving the needle.

We are a multi-disciplinary Marketing Team, meaning team members wear many hats and accomplish different kinds of work within the team. This is an individual contributor role that must take a “hands-on-approach” and be willing to take on other related tasks as needed. This person reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy from the ground up and manage day-to-day operations of search campaigns (Google & Microsoft), including Google Video Network (Youtube) and the Google Display Network (including responsive native ads) across multiple digital channels and programmatic ad tech (native, video, display).
  • Maintain and manage pixel setup and Google Tag Manager accounts for campaign analytics and
  • remarketing needs.
  • Orchestrate multi-channel marketing campaigns leveraging SEO, SEM, paid social, and remarketing efforts to drive customer acquisition.
  • Develop, socialize, execute, and measure the performance of an integrated demand generation plan.
  • Manage and fully utilize marketing automation platform (HubSpot).
  • Measure effectiveness, performance and ROI of marketing programs and iterate quickly.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Teams to build relevant audience targeting.
  • Develop and analyze detailed KPIs/reporting to support objectives/goals. Own multiple KPIs: traffic, CPC, visitor paths, CAC, MQLs, and conversion rates to drive ROI/ROAS to optimize online marketing spend.
  • Test the performance of landing pages and content.
  • Develop optimization suggestions and implementation strategies, including performing keyword research. Research/ develop keywords and write/ create copy.
  • Drive holistic affiliate marketing strategy to meet/exceed program goals, such as new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Partner with the internal web development team to analyze our websites for technical limitations preventing search engines from crawling or ranking pages and remain up-to-date on search algorithms.
  • Collaborate with external partners, evaluate additional search and affiliate partners, and stay up-to-date with the latest changes in PPC best practices, new technologies and search engine algorithm changes to achieve best in class work.
  • Stay current with all search engine algorithm changes and SEO industry trends and regularly inform and educate the rest of the company on emerging SEO technologies. Monitor on an on-going basis SEO results and manage projects to ensure continued high rankings.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years developing, executing strategic B2B digital marketing demand gen programs in a B2B, SaaS and Enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of managing a SEM budget.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing SEM/PPC campaigns for Google, Yahoo, & Bing.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Adwords Editor and Bing Ads Editor.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and Google Tag Manager.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with a Bid Management Platform such as Kenshoo.
  • Demonstrable success in owning and managing a pipeline generation target. Track record of consistent over‐achievement of performance goals in past positions.
  • Clear understanding of ABM strategies and the ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing, to coordinate valuable, personalized experiences that drive engagement and conversion at a targeted set of accounts.
  • Well-versed in marketing technologies and current best practices.
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing, performance marketing, and email optimization.
  • Ability to manipulate large AdWords data sets in Excel.
  • Passion for marketing, advertising, and online content development.
  • Strong research abilities with excellent analytical skills.
  • Superior project management and organizational/time management skills with specific attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of SEM/PPC (e.g., HTML, URL structures, keyword analysis, link-building strategies, blog optimization, content optimization, search engine crawlers, indexes, and algorithms).
  • Experience working in a CRM / marketing automation, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or other related applications.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to think strategically and innovatively.
  • Minimum of a BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Passionate commitment to lifelong learning.
  • A great teammate and co-worker who understands how important teamwork is.

  • Demand waterfall metrics (e.g. new-to-file lead, MQL, SQL, Closed Won Opportunities) and associated efficiency metrics (cost per click, etc.).
