JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Sales is responsible for the new client sales, current client expansions, and key client retention projects on a global level.

The Director of Sales will market and sell by aligning Data2Logistics’ products and services to a client’s unique needs. This position is required to use their industry expertise and strong communication skills to convey the value Data2Logistics products and services to all levels of client staff. The Director of Sales is key in providing competitive insight to product development.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (of the job)

· Generates new revenue consistent with company goals and targets

· Assist in defining unique client requirements for Global Solutions

· Supports Corporate Sales efforts by providing input, market intelligence and feedback from prospective clients

· Develops sales proposals and quotes for prospective clients for company services and offerings.

· Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional manner

· Calls prospective clients to qualify leads and describe services

· Develops list of prospective clients using trade and professional association membership lists or magazines, telephone directories and other sources

· Follows up on leads generated, tracks and responds to inquiries, solicits furthers sales

· Maintains an up to date understanding of industry trends and developments that effect target markets

· Works with global solutions staff to help define requirements for clients to ensure they are well communicated

· Meets quarterly sales goals and quotas in accordance with sales plans

· Produces and distributes activity reports, updates contact management software on a consistent basis

· Documents activities in salesforce.com

· All other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred or equivalent work experience.

· Minimum 5 years experience in sales or customer service relationship management preferably with an integrated carrier, LTL trucking company or 3PL including Knowledge of Transportation market place and freight payment services

· Must be familiar with both US and global processing

· Strong PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Email, salesforce.com or equivalent

· Results oriented

· Outstanding telephone communication skills

· Good personality, confident phone voice

· Excellent organizational and customer service skills with impeccable follow up

· Ability to create and give client presentations

· Ability to research and identify target clients

· Ability to handle rejection and remain positive for the next call

· Ability to work independently with little supervision; strong work ethic

· Ability to resolve problems

· “Hunter” mentalities with a laser focus on closing the sale

· Strong customer service orientation

· Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Excellent listening and interpersonal skills

· Ability to communicate ideas clearly and in direct interest of prospect
