This person is an independent contributor to the marketing team and will support B2B, B2C and DTC marketing efforts. Key areas of responsibility: executing the marketing plan with best-in-class content, social media, community engagement, sales team support and field marketing.


· Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to devise content strategies that support business goals

· Help plan, source, and/or develop text, graphic, photo and video content; help manage the associated resources, timelines and budgets

· Help build product pages, blog posts, whitepapers and social media posts

· Maximize how content is best delivered to various audiences including the B2B customer base and end-consumers

· Manage content updates, perform routine checks to maintain content and oversee version control across platforms

· Repackage and repurpose content regularly while paying attention to seasonality and business needs, and always optimizing for the channel

· Implement SEO strategies where applicable; SEO acumen can be developed on the job, but it is central to the brand’s reputation and long-term success

· Work to maintain a strong awareness of digital trends and be able to present and share them; bring in new approaches to content marketing

· Help monitor competitors, help maintain brand reputation and consistency

· Contribute to regular reporting and analysis to inform the direction of future efforts

Social Media & Community Management

· Work under the direction of our content and social lead to execute the social media plan and achieve growth goals

· Publish on social media channels thoughtfully and consistently and in accordance with the editorial calendar

· Help build the content themes for social channels with a 3-month outlook, always timing with the business’ needs and seasonality

· Quality and quantity, but quality always wins. You are the lever to quantity as you get comfortable with the nuances of the business and the established voice.

· Engage with community members in a brand-appropriate way (voice, tone, accuracy, speed)

· Act as eyes and ears and provide prompt responses and/or internal action

· Coordinate and execute social activations for live events and field marketing

· Assist with external collaborator activation (microinfluencers, friends of the company) to keep them fueled, engaged and delivering on schedule

· Leverage influencer platform to help build microinfluencer network and broaden awareness of the company and its brands

Sales Team Enablement

· Perhaps the quickest way to early success in this role is enabling the sales team while on the road and in the field, building tools, supporting customer appreciation efforts, fulfilling VIP programs and more

· Stay current on customers and product launches; support product launches

· Ad hoc presentation support, copywriting and A/V help for sales meetings and regular trainings at headquarters

General Marketing Support

· Assist in executing brand partner programs--co-marketing campaigns and content collection

· Support tradeshow strategy and prep including proof of concept prep, promotional item sourcing and inventory maintenance, and other organizational activities at headquarters

· Support in planning and organizing photo/video capture

· Other marketing duties as assigned


· Creative thinking, strong initiative, and verbal presentation skills

· Command of the English language; superb writing skills

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; collaboration is a constant

· Comfortable with change and willingly embraces the “new”

· An eye for good design; hands-on design skills a huge plus (Canva counts!)

· Self-starter, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

· Empathy as a frame of mind and a customer service orientation whether dealing with internal or external parties

· Deep interest in, and eagerness to learn about science, health and nutrition; walk the walk


· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in communications, marketing or similar

· 3 years professional experience, agency or big brand exposure ideal

· Proficient in Office Suite, social media tools and platforms including Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc and associated apps/tools

· Skilled using and learning CMS programs, web research tools, analytics and other reporting programs

· Ability to interpret and communicate data

· Tradeshow and events marketing a plus

Technical Knowledge:

Equipment: With this virtual workforce, you must be able to operate company-issued equipment including a Mac or PC, phone system, audio/visual devices (lights and/or mics) and have dedicated space to work with minimal distractions.

Software Knowledge: Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM, social platforms, CMS programs, video conference tools, cloud storage, design tools a plus


Travel is required. This person may attend up to 15 events per year ranging from single day local engagements and trainings to multi-day out-of-town activations.

HIGHLY PREFERRED: Local-ish (within 1 hour to HQ located in Carlsbad, CA)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
