Organizational Summary



Mission: ‘me too.’ serves as a convener, innovator, thought leader, and organizer across the mainstream and the grassroots to address systems that allow for the proliferation of sexual violence, specifically in Black, queer, trans, disabled, and all communities of color. Leveraging its model and framework, grounded in existing research and theory, ‘me too.’ centers individual and community healing and transformation, empowerment through empathy, shifting cultural narratives and practices, and advancing a global survivor-led mvement to end sexual violence.

Position Description 


me too. International’s programs team is seeking an experienced and energetic organizer to join our team as Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating ‘me too.’s. Survivor Leadership Training, coordinating ‘me too.’s HBCU initiative, and supporting all other organizational programs as a member of the Programs team. This hands-on leadership opportunity is best suited for a self-starting individual who has a passion for gender justice work, a heart for survivors, and experience delivering training and educational content to adults. The ideal candidate has experience in the survivor justice movement, is process-oriented, creative, detailed, compassionate, and adaptable.


The Program Coordinator is a full-time position that reports to the Program Director.


Responsibilities


Survivor Leadership Training (SLT)

  • Facilitate 12-week Survivor Leadership Training from a prescribed curriculum
  • 2 hour weekly sessions
  • 1 hour weekly circle
  • Update and modify curriculum to meet emergent needs and evolve curriculum based on observations and participant feedback 
  • Coordinate SLT guest presenters
  • Monitor individual participant progress; support participants in completion of community projects
  • Work with Program Director and Engagement Specialist to recruit SLT cohort
  • Keep a detailed record of processes and  happenings within the SLT program

HBCU Initiative

  • Work with the Program Director to  build and maintain working relationships with HBCUs and HBCU fellowship alumni
  • Coordinate HBCU Spring retreat and other soft touch programming 
  • Work with the Program Director to supervise HBCU Interns 

Other:

  • Attend weekly individual and team meetings
  • Contribute to the coordination of all program related activities
  • Support organizational wide efforts and campaigns


Qualifications


  • Experience delivering training and educational content to adults
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed best practices for facilitating group experiences and “holding space”
  • Strong content organizing and writing skills
  • Experience with program coordination
  • Experience organizing in the area of survivor justice
  • Experience with curriculum writing preferred
  • Experience with conflict resolution and transformative justice processes preferred 


Hours and Salary

This is a full-time, remote position, with some travel required. Starting salary is $60,000 per year. Employee healthcare coverage is active after 60 days. Salary is commensurate with experience.
