Take a look at our website here to learn more about why we’re one of the leading global Cyber Security and Risk Mitigation business… https://www.nccgroup.com/uk/
A part of the Content team, with a direct impact on Marketing and Sales, the North America Content Marketer works to conceive, develop, and create authentic cyber security content. Whether via digital marketing or sales outreach channels, they can communicate the high-level value of NCC Group’s products and services, and translate some technical concepts into broader business language. In some cases, the Content Marketer can provide an education and advisory angle, too. In others, they help coordinate creation and output by subject matter experts or agencies.
The North America Content Marketer’s role is primarily focused regionally, but will also make sizeable contribution to global initiatives, collaborating with and learning from some of the quirkiest cyber security minds in the world.
Copywriting & Copyediting: Depending on where their expertise lies, the Content Marketer writes and edits clear and persuasive on-brand original copy for any of the following: internal sales and marketing digital assets, website landing pages, blogs, case studies, and ads. They often have several assignments on their plate at once. They align all content to the NCC Group’s core values, messaging, and positioning.
Mining for Gold Nuggets: This Content Marketer has a sense of discovery and an ability to bring the best stories out of people to find the gold nuggets. They interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the cybersecurity space, running and/or participating in meetings with Campaign Managers to generate workable ideas and concepts. They also take initiative to search and gather intel and information about relevant topics within the cybersecurity industry.
Developing the Audience Profile: The Content Marketer is in a unique position of translating sometimes-niche cybersecurity intel to layman’s terms and back again. The Content Marketer identifies audiences’ needs and helps them traverse the industry landscape.
Actively Participating in Regional & Global Content Strategies: Have you ever wanted to help write and improve your company’s best practices, or help direct the future of content? Depending on their expertise or their desire to learn, the North America Content Marketer participates in global and regional conversations about content creation. They come up with new ideas, write copy for campaigns that arise, and lend a hand in coordinating content and creative efforts.
Constructing Simple Webpages: The content marketing team assists the web team, laying written content out on landing pages and in the content hub. They use prescribed templates, but often employ creative license.
An independent spirit with the ability to collaborate. This Content Marketer has a desire to move the needle and is able to self-motivate and self-advocate. On the other hand, they will also be asked to work closely with Campaign Managers and other members of the Content team to complete projects. The role requires highly effective communication skills.
Ability to code-switch between topics (within reason). You’ll be working on several types of campaigns for different audiences at once, and it can get hectic if you aren’t a time manager.
A Digital Content Connoisseur: The North American Content Marketer has basic SEO knowledge, is very familiar with digital spaces, social media, and the different types of skills and language that’s required between them.
Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least 1 year related experience OR 2-3 years of relevant content marketing experience.
Desirable skills include:
Experience with InDesign and the Adobe Suite.
Experience with Umbraco or any CMS platforms.
Experience with B2B and cybersecurity markets.
Experience working with or guiding external agencies.
An ability to write copy for different markets.
Please do not hesitate to apply.
