Data Analyst & Visualization Consultant

Reflective Democracy Campaign Seeks Data Analysis & Visualization Consultant to Support Groundbreaking Research on the Demographics of Political Power

The Reflective Democracy Campaign (RDC) investigates the demographics of power, documenting both the enduring problem of white male political over-representation, and the rise in electoral gains by women and people of color. The RDC database is the nation’s only comprehensive resource tracking the race and gender of elected officials and candidates at the city, county, state, and federal levels. RDC translates our insights into compelling, user-friendly reports that engage the media and movement organizations, and shape the public conversation about race, gender, and democracy.

RDC seeks a consultant to analyze our data set – including a 2021 update – and create data visualizations for our upcoming report that will examine the demographics of political power since our launch in 2014. The consultant will also finalize the RDC Data Library, which will present our current and historical findings including raw data sets. The ideal candidate will combine excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a passionate interest in democracy and the demographics of power.
