Visual Content Producer
This is a full time position located in the United States.

Where you come in:
- Research, curate or create, and produce photos, illustrations, and other visual assets for use on the Yelp business blog, Yelp for Business website, and Yelp.com consumer articles (such as this one with home improvement tips or this one on finding a good locksmith).
- Curate or create visual assets that inspire and build trust with business owners and consumers for other types of content, including educational articles, guides, newsletters, and customer stories.
- Manage pre-production content for videos that will appear on B2B and B2C posts and on YouTube or other social channels. Coordinate business owner bookings (aka talent), self-filming tips, questions and answers, and workflow between Content Marketing and Yelp Studios, our in-house video production team.
- Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, product, customer success, PR, social media, and sales as well as external resources—customers, partners, freelancers, and vendors—to create and source visual assets.
- Modify and edit existing visual assets or create new ones to promote content in other channels and by other Yelp teams, such as product marketing, performance and lifecycle marketing, product development, community, social media, sales, etc.
- Manage pre-production of graphics and upload visual and written content into WordPress for publication.
- Foster a culture of creative excellence; explain the thinking behind creative asset strategies and decisions, and share best practices with team members.
- Develop and manage a library of visual assets and content to help you and others locate appropriate assets from our growing inventory.
- Create and manage processes for requesting new visual assets as well as using assets from the existing inventory.
- Track licenses/fees/agreements on assets acquired from content providers and other sources.
- Track and report stock photo usage and trends.
- Assist with other content production needs in the CMS.
What it takes to succeed:
- 3+ years of experience in marketing/communications, brand marketing, editorial publishing, and/or a creative agency
- 2+ years of professional experience working with visual assets for content
- A demonstrated ability to create compelling visual content that enhances the written word
- The ability to adapt your visual style to fit Yelp's brand
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in graphics production, marketing, or a related field
- Design and web content production experience is a plus
- A keen understanding of consumer behavior and trends in visual content
- Experience working with or for local small- and medium-sized businesses is preferred
- Experience with WordPress (or a similar CMS) is preferred
- Experience with digital asset management (DAM) software, including administration, is preferred
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and adept at project management
- An enormous amount of empathy and humanity, with a deep understanding of how visuals and video make people feel
- A healthy respect for deadlines: the ability to prioritize progress over perfection and the drive to see projects through to completion
- Excitement for all aspects of visual content development: idea generation, research, gathering input and buy in, and collaborating with writers, editors, and other content marketing team members
