Program Manager


The Center for Digital Resilience (CDR) [1] is seeking a Program Manager to join our global team to assist with implementation of a series of projects which support the digital resilience of online communities across the world.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the management of CDR’s community projects, from planning and implementing, through to monitoring, reporting and closure. Working closely with the Community and Security teams and our partners, the Program Manager will ensure implementation of activities on time and on budget.

The successful candidate will work with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that all CDR’s programming is of the highest possible quality. Working remotely, the successful candidate should be able to build strong working relationships across regions and time zones to encourage a systematic and efficient approach to program management within the organisation and with our partners.

We work closely with partners to provide the structures, tools, and resources needed by communities to operate safely and effectively online. Responsibilities

●     Coordinate project implementation from initiation to close out, monitoring quality and timeliness of implementation

●     Monitor project budgets and resource allocation, and support the finance team to ensure efficient financial systems

●     Communicate performance and obstacles to relevant stakeholders and ensure all projects progress

●     Draft regular and timely reports for relevant stakeholders using monitoring data to better communicate the impact of our work

●     Keep up to date with compliance related to relevant donors and ensure that CDR remains within the regulations stipulated

●     Take an active part of the review process to ensure learning and effective change to support CDR’s growth.

Qualifications

Relevant Experience

●     Proven experience of project management, meeting all project commitments, including planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting and closure,

●     Strong track record of financial management skills, including budget management and planning,

●     Good knowledge of donor compliance, preferably for the US State Department,

●     Experience working in human rights, digital security, tech advocacy, or related field working with high-risk users and communities,

●     Confident, effective communication habits across multiple platforms and time zones in a fast-paced, remote team environment.

●     Willing and able to travel to meet colleagues, partners and other stakeholders,

●     Fluency in English is required; fluency or proficiency in other languages is a plus.

 Additional

CDR is a global organization registered in Washington, D.C. This position can be located anywhere, with a slight preference for those based close to EST, GMT, or CET time zones. CDR is a small organisation of six staff members with a commitment to stay small. Therefore candidates should be self-reliant and prepared to jump in and help on organisational tasks where necessary and appropriate.
