The Associate, Strategic Fundraising & Program Operations provides operational support for a team dedicated to resources and processes to facilitate collaboration across the organization. The role operates at the intersection between fundraising, program, communication, and finance teams, necessitating skill at transitioning between projects, strong organization and project management skills, and adaptable communications skills. This position will be responsible for leading team administrative activities including management of content systems, tracking and analysis of team functions, and coordination of team activities using project management tools. The role will also help identify process improvements to strengthen team collaboration and support capturing and synthesizing content and resources distributed by program teams.


This position is preferably based in Washington, DC, but could be fully remote for the right candidate. Range for offers: $48,000 - $53,600.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage team content systems – organizing information in a user-friendly way and facilitating ongoing updates to ensure information is current and accessible.
  • Support the implementation of enhanced processes for internal coordination on fundraising opportunities and program activities.
  • Assist in coordination and creation of assets to support funding solicitation and stewardship including program budgets, program plans, and project narratives.
  • Actively participate in weekly Shared Support, Creative Enterprise and Development (CED), and Program team meetings through notetaking, synthesizing, and reviewing with manager.
  • Support process for collecting and distributing program data and content for use by fundraising teams, serving as a point of contact for internal information, data, and other requests.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of metrics, strategies, best practices, and impact stories related to our program work.
  • Formalize and implement framework for qualitative dashboard metrics.
  • Identify and create opportunities to facilitate trainings and knowledge sharing across teams through various formats, including meetings, newsletters, etc.
  • Partner with colleagues to support Share Our Strength's work to be a diverse and inclusive organization, and ensuring those values are embedded in the organization and throughout our work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required, and 1-2 years of experience in a nonprofit setting; experience in both program and fundraising preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to identify and work through challenges, underscored by strong judgment and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain focus and detail orientation in a fluid environment.
  • Adept at coordinating and prioritizing individual workload and maintaining focus and communication with colleagues in a remote environment.
  • Proven ability to excel working independently and as part of a (virtual and in person) team environment.
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated interest in anti-hunger and anti-poverty issues.
