business hours)

Verra manages a portfolio of standards, including the:

● Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) -- the world’s leading carbon crediting program, with more

than 1600 registered projects in 80 countries, and accounting for two-thirds of all voluntary

carbon market transaction volume.

● Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) -- a flexible framework for

assessing and reporting on the sustainable development benefits of project-based activities.

● Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) Standards -- to identify projects that

simultaneously address climate change, support local communities and smallholders, and

conserve biodiversity.

● Plastic Waste Reduction Program -- to enable robust impact assessment of new or scaled-up

waste recovery and recycling projects around the globe.

With rapid, global employee growth, Verra is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support the

recruiting, onboarding and retention efforts of the organization. A qualified candidate will provide

support to job candidates and new hires while working closely with the Manager of Talent Acquisition

and other members of the Human Resources team to fulfill Verra’s recruiting goals.


A day with Verra’s collaborative Human Resources Team might include…


● Consulting with Verra senior managers about staffing plans for their departments and proposing recruitment strategies.

● Speaking with a university placement representative to arrange for Verra’s participation in an upcoming job fair for students.

● Following up with the IT team to make sure that computers have been ordered, configured and delivered, and email addresses assigned to new employees ahead of their first day on the job.

● Meeting with the HR team to review the recruitment status for all open positions.

Specific functions you will be responsible for...

● Assigning new job announcements to HR Assistants who will be responsible for managing portfolios of announcements through the full talent acquisition cycle which includes:

○ Posting announcements;

○ Screening applicants;

○ Scheduling interviews;

○ Conducting reference checks;

○ Supporting hiring managers in preparing and extending offers of employment;

○ Preparing offer letters for the review and signature of the Chief Operating & Financial Officer;

○ Onboarding new employees, including completing necessary paperwork, issuing work orders to the IT team to configure and deliver a Verra computer and needed peripherals to the new employee, forwarding needed payroll information to the Finance team, and scheduling orientation meetings; and

○ Closing out job postings once positions are filled, including sending appropriate communication to applicants.

● Keeping track of the status of all job postings and apprising hiring managers and the Manager of Talent Acquisition of any issues requiring resolution.

● Working closely with the Manager of Talent Acquisition in developing and updating the Verra Talent Acquisition strategy.

● Scheduling Verra’s participation in job fairs and recruiting events.

● Administering candidate experience surveys to analyze feedback on our talent acquisition process.

● Preparing reports on new hire metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire)

● Maintaining accurate employee files on internal drives and our HRIS.

 

You bring with you...


● 2 years of recruitment-related administrative support.

● Proven ability to perform work of a complex nature utilizing strong organizational skills with a focus on details and accuracy.

● Experience with HR Information Systems (ideally BambooHR), Applicant Tracking Systems, and related report generation knowledge.

● Proven ability to prioritize tasks and complete high volume of assigned work accurately.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English a must.

● Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels in an organization and communicate effectively regarding sensitive and confidential matters.

● Experience using social media and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn) as recruiting tools.

● Cultural awareness that enables you to work well with stakeholders and partners from different countries and cultures.

● A self-starter approach to your work. You do not wait for assignments but instead, dive in headfirst and are comfortable finding solutions.

● An ability to multi-task and work independently.

● Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Teams and Office, and Google Workspace, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.

● Task management skills, including working with systems to manage and track tasks and workflows (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, Trello, any CRM system).

● A strong interest in sustainability, corporate responsibility, carbon markets, and/or climate change.

Compensation at Verra

 

To help us attract and retain top talent, Verra pays employees competitively to the market. In return, we expect each employee to, at a minimum:


● Meet expectations in terms of work effort and performance;

● Embody Verra’s values.

 

For this position, the salary range is USD $56,505 - $63,486, depending on experience.

We will recognize employees who go beyond expected performance with salary increases and/or promotions, but the bar for earning those rewards is high.


Salary is one component of Verra’s total compensation package which also includes:

● Health, vision and dental care, and life insurance;

● Verra contributions to each employee’s retirement plan;

● Verra contributions as required by national labor laws in countries where staff are located;

● Paid Time Off (PTO), comprising 22-30 days plus ten floating holidays, sabbatical after five years of service, and other leave allowances; and
