The Uplands Center is a non-profit retreat center in Walton NY dedicated to caregivers and social change-makers. We provide an environment for renewal and innovation that empowers all to make the world a better place. We are looking to grow our team with additional retreat coordination support.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
PURPOSE
Reporting to the Retreat Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the coordination of retreats, including fielding inquiries, booking and scheduling retreats. This is a part time hourly position which will periodically require to be on site.
DUTIES
In collaboration with Retreat Coordinator and Executive Directors, the Administrative Assistant will:
· Implement booking processes (send invoices and relevant information to group leaders, collect and record payments, liaise with third party service providers, etc.)
· Maintain and update The Uplands’ calendar
· Field and respond to inquiries
· Coordinate internal information and workflow systems
· Periodically provide on-site support during retreats, and
· Other tasks, as required
REQUIREMENTS
· An undergraduate degree or at least 2 years of applicable experience
· Strong written and verbal communication in English and excellent interpersonal skills
· Exceptional organizational skills and eye to detail
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suites
· Comfort working in a team
· Ability to coordinate across multiple projects at the same time
Preferred
- Prior experience working in the hospitality sector
- Experience using and collaborative workflow applications and/or contact management databases
- Experience coordinating logistics for events
This position is offered remotely, but candidates must be present for an on-site interview, training, and periodic retreat support duties.
