Yoga Program Manager
Reports to: Senior Director
Location: Remote in the United States
Employment Category: Full Time
Deadline for submission: June 1st, 2021
The LoveYourBrain Foundation is a US-based nonprofit that improves the quality of life of people affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) through programs that build community and foster resilience. We believe that yoga, mindfulness, and community are essential to transforming the wellbeing of people impacted by TBI. That’s why we pioneered our programs - offered across the United States and Canada - to empower our community with new tools, resources, and connections. The LoveYourBrain Yoga program is a free 6-week in-person program designed for people with TBI and their caregivers delivered in partnership with yoga studios and rehabilitation facilities in the US and Canada. This way, we support people affected by TBI to access yoga for healing across the full continuum of care and facilitate greater community integration. We have partnerships with over 50 yoga studios across 35 US states and 10 Canadian provinces, yet COVID has significantly changed the landscape of the yoga industry, so we are in a stage of rebuilding and refining our partnership model. We also transitioned our yoga programming to online delivery so are working to integrate both in-person and online yoga programming to maximize our reach and accessibility. We offer 20-hour LoveYourBrain Yoga Teacher Trainings to empower yoga teachers and clinicians to deliver our program curriculum. We conduct extensive outreach with clinical, advocacy, and community-based stakeholders to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga for TBI. We are engaged in ongoing research to evaluate the impact of our program and contribute evidence-based practices for making yoga more accessible to the TBI community.Â
Position Summary:Â The Yoga Program Manager will manage program administration, yoga studio partnership sustainability and expansion in the US and Canada, outreach, and LoveYourBrain Yoga Teacher Trainings. This role requires a dynamic yoga teacher who is dedicated to promoting accessible yoga for the TBI community and shifting the culture around holistic health service delivery.
