Position Summary:

The Director, Public Relations and Social Media will support our rapidly growing team and take our external communications program to the next level. In this position, you will design strategies that increase awareness and reputation of InEight. You will be responsible for building and managing the InEight relationship with leading industry analysts by increasing the company's interaction, visibility, and influence with a diverse analyst community globally. The includes developing strong relationships with key IT and industry media contacts and analysts that influence buying decisions. You will be responsible for planning and executing a results-driven media, industry, public relations and social media program that creates and builds a strong and favorable image for the organization.

*This is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere within the US



Responsibilities:

  • Develop a public relations plan that continually enhances and drives InEight's reputation and share of voice in the market and helps the company tell its brand story
  • Develop and manage social content strategy and execution plan including working with leadership to increase their engagement
  • Garner international, national, regional, and local media attention/placement by writing and pitching stories
  • Develop messaging, story angles and relevant communication plans that promote InEight brands and InEight subject matter experts
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with InEight spokespeople and provide coaching to ensure consistent delivery of the company's key messages and to grow industry awareness
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business, industry, local media and analysts
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Maintain measurement program for PR and monitor and report on social media performance
  • Serve as internal liaison with key spokespeople to respond to and proactively pitch and execute campaigns across various outlets and social channels
  • Identify and build relationships with new and existing editors, reporters and tech analysts to increase third party coverage
  • Build and nurture appropriate relationships with key analysts in order to drive more positive commentary, recommendations, and coverage in market globally
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends affecting the construction and software markets and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Build relationships with industry associations and trade publications, while identifying and executing sponsorship opportunities
  • Partner with paid media manager on strategy overlap
  • Manage and guide agency resources in support of key programs and initiatives
  • Expertly present and articulate complex ideas and concepts in formal and informal settings
  • Drive strategy and execution of marketing communications initiatives through content storytelling, ensuring a consistent brand message across multiple consumer touch points including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Align with content calendar, brand initiatives, events, press, and other activations that require content and social media integration
  • Identify new trends to spark new innovative content development for organic platform growth

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, and social media
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in public relations, communications, English, journalism or marketing
  • Experience with B2B technology and/or construction
  • A track record of thought leadership and successful implementation of a global communications programs, strong strategic thinking skills, and the ability to lead and motivate agencies, influence management, peers, and direct reports
  • Demonstrated success in driving successful analyst relations programs garnering industry analyst interest and coverage
  • Proficiency at building strategy around content, voice, audience personas and community to deliver a best-in-class social media experience across all platforms.
  • Experience in working with senior leaders of an organization, crafting communications strategies appropriate for their roles and personalities
  • Success in developing breakthrough communications programs through strategy, execution, and production
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills; detail oriented; ability to prioritize
  • Proven ability to garner national and international media attention
  • Ability to foresee challenges/issues and provide solutions
  • An influencer and collaborator with cross-functional teams, as well as experience establishing an internal network of relationships at all levels of the organization to drive results
  • A strong work ethic and whatever it takes to get the job done attitude
  • Extensive agency management experience and media understanding (social and traditional)
  • Solid understanding of social media management tools and measurement techniques
