Responsibilities

Position Summary

* This position can be remote

Use SQL, SPSS, Excel, and PowerPoint to create/update reports on demographics, program participation, and outcomes for various internal and external customers.  

Compile and analyze data from electronic medical records database in response to ad hoc requests by internal and external customers. 

Develop and implement data extraction and analysis processes for Program Model Adherence Reviews

Create presentations based on customer’s needs/requirements. 

Complete descriptive analysis for projects as directed; work with Research Statistician on multivariate analysis as needed.

Identify areas for improvement in data management and reporting processes; implement improvements in consultation with the Research Statistician.


 

This position serves as a data analyst for the Research Department of Youth Villages and services all YV programs in 14 states. In this capacity, this position will be responsible for creating materials to be used by internal partners (CEO, State Directors, and Program Managers) and external partners (Donors, Government Agencies, and Stakeholders). The position is not a business intelligence position. The role will focus on social services data and requires the ability to account for human error in that data. In this position you will utilize raw data provided by case workers, youth, families, and partnering agencies, to deliver accurate program success and impact. That data will then be transferred into power point to be presented to stakeholders. This position provides for in-depth work with psychological data to help Youth Villages continue to successfully help children and families.

 

 

Qualifications
Education Requirements

Master’s degree in social or physical science or a data-related business field from an accredited university and one or two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Experience Requirements

Must be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and critical thinking skills

Competency in research methods required, as is experience with data management and analysis. 

Knowledge of SPSS, R, and/or SQL is preferred. 

Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, and Word) is required. Ability to create and modify SQL select queries is preferred.
