Apac Regional It Support Manager 🔥


GitHub is looking for a Regional IT Support Manager in India to join our world-class IT organization. This is a critical role and one that will have a large impact on the quality of support at GitHub as we continue to scale globally.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in leading distributed IT Support teams in the delivery of world class support and enablement. The ideal candidate will be well versed in supporting our tech stack (Okta, G Suite, Slack, Zoom, Zendesk) and helping grow a regional team. The candidate should also be ready and willing to get their hands dirty, not just managing or leading a team, but also pitching in to assist in the work itself.

The APAC Regional IT Support Manager will partner with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders to help deliver a great support experience to employees in APAC, as well as Hubbers in other regions. This position will report to the Senior IT Support Manager and help shape the future of GitHub IT support in the APAC region.

Some of the things you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of IT Generalists across the APAC region including India and Japan
  • Participating in hiring as the IT support team scales with company growth
  • Managing vendor relationships
  • Driving measurable and agreed-to business outcomes that impact teams in APAC
  • Working hands-on to maintain a consistent support experience as well as contribute to team goals which may include scripting and systems implementation

Qualifications for the role:

  • Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience directly managing a distributed IT support team
  • Experience with SAML based single sign-on solutions
  • Demonstrated experience with cross functional projects from start to finish
  • At least 4 years of experience supporting a company's IT operations
  • Service-oriented mindset and the ability to empathize with a wide range of technical experience
  • Experience troubleshooting macOS and Windows machines
  • Experience with networked and mobile computing environments
  • Experience supporting office networking equipment
  • Knowledgeable of git and the GitHub workflow (this is how we work)
