  • Coaching affiliate leadership through regular check-ins and follow-ups.
  • Assisting the PBP Director in creating skills and learning spaces for Black and BIPOC organizers through regular calls, digital communications, and in-person and/or digital gatherings.
  • Working closely with the PBP Director and the Base-building team to develop programs that advance CPD/A’s organizing, campaigning, and policy goals.
  • Supporting the growth and development of new affiliate organizations and affiliate teams.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience centering the people most impacted by social problems at the center of finding solutions to those problems;
  • Significant experience as an organizer;
  • Experience coaching or managing organizers;
  • Demonstrated commitment to the engagement of grassroots members in the daily work of organizing and campaigning in the context of community organizing;
  • A track record of effectiveness in campaigning, electoral engagement, and base-building;
  • Deep alignment with CPD/A’s theory of change and a deep commitment to building powerful people driven institutions;
  • A demonstrated commitment to social and racial justice and a thorough understanding of challenges facing immigrant communities, communities of color, and low-income people;
  • The ability to collaborate with diverse organizations and partners;
  • Results-focused, team-oriented, organized, and responsive;
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly (COVID dependent) for site visits, training, and other affiliate engagement, as well as occasional internal staff meetings.
