ABOUT THE POSITIONÂ
Tech Support Consultants advance EL Education’s mission by providing a seamless participant experience for facilitators and participants in virtual professional development events that include diverse audiences. Successful applicants will receive training in how to support and troubleshoot in our preferred remote/virtual platform - Zoom.
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ Â Â Â Â
Specific responsibilities include:
Support delivery of professional development online/virtual training courses for EL Education customers (e.g. Teachers, Principals, District Leaders)
- Support training facilitators as they conduct remote/virtual professional development sessions
- Prior to training:
- Participate in preparatory planning sessions (as needed) to review agenda and technical support needs
- Set up virtual platform with correct permissions for participants/facilitators, polling questions, presentation setups, closed caption, recording, etc.
- Day of training:
- Arrive early to training session
- Move people into and out of breakout rooms
- Monitor chatbox, connect with participants 1:1 as needed to provide support
- Reach out to technical platform administrator(s) when additional support is needed
- Support facilitators with additional follow up as needed
Maintain clear and consistent records of services delivered
- Maintain accurate records of services provided (date of service, time/duration, etc.)
- Submit invoices in a timely manner for payment.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONSÂ Â
A successful candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge and experience with virtual platforms and features such as host/co-host, breakout rooms, sharing screen, and recording (Note: EL Education’s preferred platform is Zoom)
- Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot participant tech issues
- Willingness to collaborate closely with other consultants and EL staff to ensure a seamless participant experience
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong follow up skills and attention to detail
