Position Summary:

The Talent, Learning, Culture (TLC) team drives and sustains the impact of LEE as an employer of choice through acquiring, engaging, and developing high quality, high potential, future-oriented, diverse talent. This team is responsible for talent recruitment, selection and onboarding, staff performance management and professional development, building an organization wide culture based on our core values, talent and mission. 


The Coordinator, Talent will support two subteams, the Talent subteam and the Learning & Culture subteam, within TLC, an 11 person team. The Talent subteam supports talent acquisition, staffing, compensation, benefits, administrative onboarding and offboarding, and more. They will support the Talent subteam by managing information and data accuracy in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), advertising open roles, sourcing candidates, supporting various talent administration processes, and managing the team’s reporting. The Learning & Culture subteam supports performance management, employee engagement, and more. The Coordinator will also support the Learning & Culture subteam in the tracking of attendance and logistics of staff trainings. They will also take on other administrative duties as assigned across the team. The Coordinator, Talent reports to the Senior Director, Talent.

Position Location: Flexible

Travel Requirements: 10-15%; Travel for in-person staff learning opportunities, including our New Hire Experience (NHE), and team and/or org meetings when travel resumes. All travel is pending due to current restrictions on in-person engagement due to COVID-19.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition (25%)

  • Entering and editing job descriptions within Google docs and the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Creating a strategy for job postings through analysis and research and executing this strategy through posting jobs 
  • Managing LinkedIn recruitment strategies including job slots and In Mail campaigns
  • Sourcing candidates, including but not limited to creating sourcing materials and executing active recruitment strategies 
  • Supporting hiring processes (i.e., resume review, interviewing, etc.) as needed
  • Creating standard reports on metrics for success including diversity of pools
  • Providing initial and ongoing technical training for staff within the ATS

Team Support and Administrative Logistics (25%)

  • Organizing and maintaining team files, organizational charts, dashboards, files, and trackers
  • Managing event/program logistics planning, including identifying and securing all logistics inclusive of arranging travel, lodging, meals, and transportation, for in-person events and online platforms (i.e., zoom) for virtual events
  • Creating and disseminating event communication via travel and logistics memos, emails, and serving as an event logistics contact person (for questions, needs, etc.)
  • Scheduling and providing technical expertise/support for virtual meetings and training sessions (e.g., zoom)
  • Executing timely payment on invoices and reconciling corporate American Express credit card
  • Managing the staffing inbox and miscellaneous inquiries to the Talent Admin and Info inboxes

Talent Administration (20%)

  • Administering staff data entries and personnel changes in LEE’s HRIS system (ADP) with accuracy and within timeline expectations
  • Managing communication from offer acceptance until start date for onboarding new staff
  • Creating and executing messages from Talent Admin for standard policies and practices
  • Supporting talent admin processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file management
  • Supporting compliance related activities such as annual trainings, new hire coursework, distribution and retrieval of acknowledgements, and administration of employment related documents

Data accuracy and reporting (20%)

  • Uploading materials (i.e., interview notes, exercises) and executing communication to candidates to ensure timely accuracy of Cornerstone  
  • Creating standard reports on team metrics for success including diversity of hiring pools, participation in learning, and survey responses

Special Projects (10%)

  • Special projects as assigned by the Senior Director, Talent

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate years of work experience
  • 2 years of professional work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication with exemplar attention to detail  
  • Desire to work independently and be a self-starter, while being an effective collaborator with internal staff and external constituents 
  • Exposure to or interest in learning data reporting and accuracy
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high volume, results-oriented, deadline-driven environment with a sense of possibility, high expectations 
  • Professional maturity and ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Mindset of continuously learn with a desire to grow in HR skills and knowledge
  • Deep alignment and understanding of LEE’s mission, core values, and commitment to becoming an antiracist organization
  • Strong, demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an HR operations role
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a geographically dispersed team
  • Experience managing data accuracy within ATS and/or HRIS platforms
  • Experience working with G Suite, ADP, and Cornerstone (ATS)

This role is non-exempt and paid an hourly rate. Pay for this position is competitive and based upon relevant experience and cost of labor for your location.
