Digital Communications Officer Proveg Uk 🔥

ROLE SUMMARY

About us

ProVeg UK is a part of ProVeg International, a global food awareness organisation with the mission to reduce global animal consumption by 50% by the year 2040. We are active in eight countries across four continents, and are growing rapidly.

Internationally, we work with governments, private companies, public institutions, medical professionals, and the public to help the world transition to a more plant-based society and economy that is sustainable for humans, animals, and the planet. In the UK, we have a small but effective team, which focuses primarily on delivering positive menu change in schools (our School Plates programme). ProVeg UK is a non-profit organisation, registered as a community interest company.

About the position

Are you a highly-creative communicator with a sharp eye for visual impact and a way with words? Can you help us tell the story of School Plates, our flagship programme, to make school meals healthier and more sustainable? We want to create engaging content to explain the need for better school food, to showcase our services, and to illustrate our impact. You’ll be responsible for UK website content, our newsletter and social media. You’ll also implement ProVeg’s international campaigns, such as the COP26 campaign, Veggie Challenge, policy-focused campaigns, and the dissemination of our reports, in the UK.

Reporting directly to the ProVeg UK Director, you’ll also work closely with our School Plates Programme Manager and Global PR Manager, both based in the UK, as well as our International Social Media Manager and other international colleagues.
